Brad Pitt stops speeders in Siberia
June 12, 2009

Brad Pitt is helping the Siberian city of Omsk to stop speeders. Russian traffic police came up with the idea of placing cardboard cutouts of Pitt wearing a traffic policeman’s uniform at various intersections throughout the city in the hopes that his appearance would get drivers to slow down. So far, it appears to be working. Officials say accidents are down as star-struck drivers slow to get a good look at Brad. Head of traffic police Dmitry Zaryanov told Pravda Daily: “There are many dangerous spots in Omsk, but a shortage of policemen. We had to improvise.” Each cutout costs only $113 dollars to manufacture. Just one thing - they haven’t asked Pitt’s permission, but hopefully the mega-star will be pleased that his celebrity status is being put to good use.

Two weeks ago Mark-Paul Gosselaar told us he would be doing Jimmy Fallon's show on June 8 and addressing Fallon's "Saved by the Bell" reunion idea. Monday night, thanks to Mark-Paul and TNT, I was lucky enough to be at "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to witness the return of Zack Morris from "Saved by the Bell." Zack was on to promote the second season of the show his alter-ego, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, stars in, "Raising the Bar" (Monday nights at 10 pm on TNT). Mark-Paul spoke to us right after he finished the taping about the return of Zack Morris, his feelings on playing that character again and, frankly, what you can do to yourself if you have a problem with it.)

Cast   RDJ, GP, DC, MR, SR, SJ, SLJ, JF )

...as much as i might be loathed to quote wikipedia as a completely credible source...

its the first somewhat-complete cast list i've found. ugh, scarjo as an ironman character? i think i'd've preferred the emily blunt choice (though i've never heard of her 'til recently).
